Veterans Day Luncheon at the Post

Armistice Day at French Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand

November 11, 2017

On Veterans Day 2017, a Commemoration of the Armistice was hosted by the French Ambassador to Thailand in Bangkok, His Excellency Gilles Garachon. Among the many distinguished guests of several nations was Comrade Eric Larsen, our VFW Post Commander. It was truly an honor to have representation of all the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces at this solemn occasion.
Armistice Day is commemorated every year on 11 November to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I, which took effect at eleven o’clock in the morning—the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918.

Memorial Day May 29, 2017

A prayer was held at the gravesite of Jack DeMello, former Pattaya Post 9876 Post Commander, located at St. Nikolaus Church Cemetary, Pattaya, Thailand.
